Audition Application Form
Welcome to the MBSO audition application form for an entry in 2025.
Before applying, please review the Audition Brochure for important information regarding orchestra standards, age limits, and general details.
Auditions will be held over 2-3 dates at the Clontarf Beach State High School hall or St Paul, Bald Hills. Please note, all dates and venues are subject to change.
Audition fees must be paid before your audition. You will be invoiced once your application is received. Fees can be paid through internet bank transfer.
All current members of MBSO Youth Symphony & MBSO Junior Strings are required to re-audition by accessing the form sent to the email address listed in our database.
If you’re applying to join the Moreton Bay Symphony Orchestra (MBSO) — not MBSO Junior Strings or MBSO Youth Symphony — you’ll be invited to audition through a trial period. This gives you the chance to play with the orchestra and immerse yourself in our collaborative and enriching musical environment.
Fee
Single Audition: $20
Second Instrument or Second Family Member: Additional $5 (total $25)
Third or subsequent family member: Free
Second instrument within the same instrument family (e.g., flute & piccolo): Free
Current members: No Audition Fee
