MBSO Junior Strings

The MBSO Junior Strings ensemble is specially designed for primary and early high school-aged string musicians, offering a valuable opportunity for young performers to gain ensemble experience in a supportive and encouraging environment. Through participation in this ensemble, students not only enhance their musical skills but also build confidence and learn the joy of playing together as a cohesive group.

As a foundational step in their musical journey, members of the MBSO Junior Strings often progress to the MBSO Youth Symphony, where they continue to develop their orchestral skills alongside other young musicians. This progression allows for a seamless transition as students grow in their abilities and fosters a lifelong love of music-making.

The MBSO Junior Strings is a vibrant part of the Moreton Bay Symphony Orchestra family, performing at all MBSO concerts and showcasing their talents alongside the larger ensembles. These performances offer students the invaluable experience of playing in front of live audiences, helping them develop both as musicians and as performers.
