MBSO Youth Symphony
Formed in 2012, the MBSO Youth Symphony was created to provide young musicians with the opportunity to experience the joy of playing in a symphony orchestra. Serving as an ideal stepping stone for students transitioning from school or young adults returning to music-making, the Youth Symphony offers a vibrant and enriching environment for players to continue their musical journey.
This ensemble not only supports the development of young talent but also serves as an important extension of the Moreton Bay Symphony Orchestra. It fosters a sense of community and collaboration, encouraging young musicians to engage in an activity that is not only enjoyable and fulfilling but also socially interactive. Here, you’ll meet like-minded individuals who share your passion for creating beautiful music.
Within the MBSO Youth Symphony, musicians can refine and apply their musical skills alongside peers and experienced players in a supportive, nurturing setting. The ensemble regularly performs alongside the Moreton Bay Symphony Orchestra, showcasing their talents at venues across the Moreton Bay and north Brisbane regions, including Clontarf Beach State High School and the Redcliffe Entertainment Centre.
