MBSO

Founded in 1978, the Moreton Bay Symphony Orchestra (MBSO) has long been a welcoming space for adult musicians to perform together in a local symphonic setting. We invite players of string, woodwind, brass, and percussion orchestral instruments to join us in creating vibrant music for our community.

MBSO performs a diverse repertoire, from classical masterpieces to contemporary works, with pieces ranging from medium to advanced difficulty. To ensure all members can contribute effectively, we recommend players be at approximately AMEB (Australian Music Examinations Board) or Trinity College of Music Grade 6 standard.

Over the years, MBSO has toured and performed throughout Australia, and we are currently planning an exciting future tour. Prospective members are invited to audition through a trial period, where they can play alongside the orchestra and experience our collaborative and enriching musical environment.
